My first game made in Gamemaker Studio 2. I had some fun making this. Any and all criticism is appreciated. W and A or arrow keys to move left and right. Spacebar or arrow key to jump.

Movement mechanics are pretty good but I got stuck in the first spike level. Would maybe play more if graphics were somewhat nicer. Good work for the first game tho! Go check out my profile and games if you feel like it.
Thanks for playing! I really appreciate it! Before I published I had actually made a sprite with running and jumping animations, but it caused too many bugs to put in after the game was already finished, so I scraped that. But I really cannot express to you how much I am thankful to your for your comment!
Update: Just played your game Digger, I really like the concept of cave exploration. But I was really confused when I started because there were no sounds to indicate that I was mining, I can tell you put a lot of work into the game tho, that alone is enough to deserve my respect, I wish I had your dedication. My only criticisms are the lack of sound.
Yeah Digger was my first big game. It took about 150 hours to make. I am not good at music and sounds and the game started to feel boring to make so I moved on. Now I am working on a new game that has a lot of cool sound effects and music. I will publish it soon
